Sometimes it is good to have visions, to dream, and then kissed by the muse, to feel a creative zest for action for an inexplicable reason.

Unimaginable and a little crazy, but fact: Musically inspired by Herbert's "Kinder an die Macht", I sat in the meadow in front of the house at the beginning of 2010 and created my first work "Ararmeen aus Gummibärchen". I had waited a long time for this very moment. Finally again yourself and not as a manager to be allowed to be creative with your own hands. That was very inspiring.

From then on, everything I could find in the cellar was processed. Just like that: Barbie dolls of our big kids, toy cars and old typewriters. Creativity is addictive! A line developed quickly: My RostArt.

I had found my creative way. to combine conceptual and creative aspects. All in 3D. Creating new things, things that can be understood, experienced haptically, charged with content, with topics worth discussing.

My first exhibition as a "young artist" in Klagenfurt and Villach was a success: RostStoff provided a topic for discussion. 12 themes that were and still are close to my heart, conceptually and three-dimensionally implemented. With many exciting thoughts and ideas behind it.

Since even artists know such simple things as "hunger & thirst", I started looking for a way to offer my ideas and my work as a service. As a former advertiser, the obvious idea was to offer my services to larger companies.

But what could I, as a no-name artist, offer companies? In over 20 years as a creative in advertising, I have always wondered how spartanly most companies furnish their foyers and their presentation/meeting rooms. Not very representative in most cases.

This is how I came up with the idea: "The company's mission statement, image, performance and products, in a large-scale image, tailored to the respective company and the respective environment, creatively with my chosen method, a three-dimensional collage, similar to an assemblage". What was missing was a name for this new product.

What is the three-dimensional "portrait of a company" called? The term CoreTrait was quickly found. Phonetically similar to the portrait, this term also transports two components of content: Core = Core/Cordial & Trait = Character trait. Exactly what I try to express with my large format pictures.

I received my first order for such a company CoreTrait at the end of 2011 and created the triptych "With heart, hand and mind" for the Austrian Kapsch Group, a global technology company in the fields of mobility and digitization.

Shortly thereafter there was another order. The staff of the accident hospital in Klagenfurt were looking for a "very special farewell gift" for their long-standing chief physician. A creative idea was sought and my first "Person-CoreTrait" was born. The plastic realization of the life's work of the trauma surgeon Schwarz was a challenge. Under the title "E pluribus unum" I designed an assemblage of countless small explanted original medical implants. The realisation of the medical portrait in the colours gold, silver, green, blue and black. A unique piece that can literally be considered a "mosaic of a fulfilled professional life". The enthusiasm was great.

Like most of my art-creative colleagues, I had to take on different jobs as a survivor time and again and could not permanently concentrate on further developing my CoreTrait idea. But then, in 2015, there was the next order. A Klagenfurt-based WorkWear company has been working with one of India's largest textile companies for some time. Also here it was about a special gift idea. It was to be a valuable gift that the Austrian entrepreneur wanted to give to his Indian business partner, a multimillionaire. My second person CoreTrait was created from many thousands of buttons, zippers and other textile accessories.

> The biggest challenge here was to transport this relatively large textile CoreTrait, with the portrait of the manufacturer Ramaswami, well-protected to India.

Afterwards there were some smaller CoreTrait works for a builder, a dentist and a famous musician, but the breakthrough as a serious species still had to be prepared.

Since 2017 I have been working on further professionalizing the topic of CoreTrait and establishing it as a creative form of coretraiting people and companies. In 2019 the time will come: A virtual and a real exhibition of this genre under the title "VorBilder" is in preparation.

And it is always more fun to deal intensively with new topics, new companies and other personalities from all areas of life, as well as the most diverse materials. It remains exciting and it is worth having patience, because behind every single CoreTrait is a fascinating story.
